Robert Lee Kasper, age 92, longtime resident of Prospect Heights and Morton Grove. Loving son of the late Meyer (the late Mary). Devoted husband and “friend” for 68 years of Barbara (nee Shay). Devoted brother of the late Edith (the late Simon) Sommer and brother-in-law of Vivian (the late Walter) Koehler. Loving father of Steven (Sharon Warsaski), Debbie (Mark) Edge and Gordon (Janice Kellman). Proud grandfather of Ashley (Brian) Rojas- Edge, Elyse Edge, Amanda (Rick) Osowski and Ari (Kathryn Lomasney) Kasper. Proud uncle of five. Proud US Navy World War II veteran and University of Illinois alumnus. Esteemed member of Congregation Beth Shalom and the former Northwest Suburban Jewish Congregation. After retiring from a successful sales career in the apparel industry he served for many years as a para-chaplain. Synagogue service Monday July 31, 10:00 AM at Congregation Beth Shalom, 3433 Walters Ave, Northbrook. In lieu of flowers, a donation in his name may be made to Congregation Beth Shalom or Birthright Israel.
